Ditchers

Yeah we ditch out on Thanksgiving this year and we went to Legoland. It was actually really fun and I am only a little sad I didn't have a traditional holiday. The boys had a blast and it wasn't crowded at all we had almost no lines throughout the day which was a relief with Evan and his 2 year old patience.

Evan said he was having fun on all the rides but his face looked like this most of the day.

We are pretty sure Porter is a heterosexual because he felt up this poor lego lady and then posed for a picture with her.

Now the decision for next year is should we stay or should we go somewhere else....maybe Hawaii?

Sneak Peak

(We almost went as Mexicans because we couldn't pry the sombreros out of the kids hands)


Halloween is here! This is my favorite holiday, and really what's not to love, there is dressing up, food, FREE candy!

The fun all starts with Grandma's fabulous Halloween party. Her and her friends go all out and the kids (and adults) have a blast!





The best part of the night was watching Evan bob for apples.
And now we just have to wait for 2 more parties and a night of trick or treating, (when did Halloween turn into a multiple day celebration-I am not complaining though).

We ate their brains!

Over the weekend we got our of town and went to the cabin. I invited my brother and his family (so glad they moved closer to us) to come and we had a great time! My sister-in-law is super creative at making boring things like, dinner really fun. She had the kids cut out "pumpkins" (orange peppers) into jackolanterns and then we ate the "brains" (spaghetti) out of them. The kids also make their own cookie cutter garlic bread. It was super easy and took almost no extra time and the kids loved it!









Then we went up to the ski resort, it was get a Jr. ski pass for free day (not sure if we are going use them, but wishful thinking is always nice).
It was so cold and windy, I was expecting fall weather not winter conditions! So needless to say we weren't totally dressed right, but we survived.







It was really fun to be cold and play outside with the kids, I was a little bummed to come back to 90 degree weather.

Birthday, Swimming, & School...

The summer is over (can someone please tell the weather) and I am happy to report that we made it, it even went by a little too fast. We tried to go swimming as much as possible and since we have no pool we relied on some good friends and family to help keep us cool.






I love how they are all smiling. They must just be underwater with big smiles the whole time. With all the happiness it really make me want a pool.







Summer for us also mean birthday time, we have 4 birthdays in just our immediate family, and Evan and I practically share ours being only 2 days apart. He was so cute this year, he hated opening presents (weird) but loved the cake (normal).



Then to end it all school starts, it didn't feel like it was "time" but now that we are back to routine I love it. Collin told me this after his first day of school "I think it is going to be a great year with a great teacher". I sure hope so.
